NLS1: First Kilometres of the New Season on the Nordschleife

My 2026 season started at the Nürburgring with the opening round of the NLS. After the winter break, I was mainly looking forward to getting back in the car, working with the team, and completing my first proper kilometres on the Nordschleife in the Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport with W&S Motorsport.

Unfortunately, the weekend was heavily affected by the weather. Temperatures were very low, around 2 °C, and the conditions were not suitable for a safe running of the race programme. As a result, the race was cancelled and the whole weekend ended up having more of a testing character.

Even so, NLS1 was definitely not a wasted weekend for me. Friday testing gave me the opportunity to get back into the rhythm of the Nordschleife, start working with the car in real conditions, and gradually build confidence before the next races. The Nordschleife is a track where every kilometre matters, and although we all wanted to race, it was important to make the most of the time available.

For me personally, it was also the beginning of a new chapter. The Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport, the CUP3 class, and the cooperation with W&S Motorsport are exactly the direction I want to move in over the coming years. The first weekend did not bring a race result, but it laid the foundation for the work ahead. I therefore see NLS1 as an important start to the season and the first step towards what awaits me this year on the Nordschleife.
