NLS2: First Proper Race and Fourth Place in CUP3
NLS2 finally brought the first proper race weekend of the season. The main goal was to build on the first kilometres from NLS1, continue adapting to the car, and gain as much racing experience as possible in this new combination. CUP3 is a very strong and competitive class, so I knew that every detail would matter — from pace and consistency to managing traffic on the Nordschleife.
The race itself was mainly about stability and gradually building confidence. The Nordschleife is not a place where you can rush anything. Every lap is different, the traffic is constantly changing, and you have to push while still keeping full respect for both the track and the car.
In the end, we managed to finish fourth in the CUP3 class. Of course, when you are this close to the podium, you always think about where a little more could have been found. At the same time, I see fourth place as a very solid start to the season and an important result in my first proper race with this car, especially in a field of 17 cars in the class.
For me personally, NLS2 was mainly a confirmation that the direction we are taking makes sense. The cooperation with W&S Motorsport works well, I feel better in the car with every session, and each additional stint helps me move forward. Fourth place in CUP3 is a great foundation, but also strong motivation to keep working and gradually get closer to even better results.
