Test Porsche Cup - Misano

At the end of 2024, I completed a two-day test with Target Competition at Misano, driving the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup.

This is a car I’ve always been curious about – and it absolutely delivered. Amazing feel behind the wheel, razor-sharp response to every driver input. When you do things right, it rewards you. When you make a mistake, it doesn’t cover for you – and that’s exactly what makes it exciting to drive.

You have to play with the throttle on corner exits, letting the car rotate and slide out on all four wheels. Otherwise, it tends to understeer. On corner entry, trail braking is key to getting the car to rotate properly.

It’s definitely something I want to race again – and realistically, endurance racing is the most logical direction for me. Sprint races are cool, but too expensive at this stage.
